An independent committee oversees Skylab’s scientific projects to ensure compliance with ethical principles, the protection of individuals and the scientific rigour of surgical research.

Un comité scientifique et éthique indépendant a été formé par Skylab dans le cadre
du respect des personnes et de leur dépouille dans l’enseignement et la recherche en
chirurgie.
An independent scientific and ethics committee has been established by Skylab to ensure respect for individuals and their remains in surgical education and research.
The committee is composed of five members with recognised expertise in medical, scientific or ethical matters.
The current members are:
- Mr Philippe Amiel – Lawyer and ethicist specialising in the medico-surgical field.(President of the Ethics Committee)
Ms Victoria Chapeau – Lawyer specialising in victims’ rights
Prof. Philippe Liverneaux – Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in deliberate practice
Prof. Jean-Yves Beaulieu – Orthopaedic surgeon and Professor of Anatomy
