To achieve optimum levels of expertise, both sectors use surprisingly similar training methods and tools. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Use simulations to train for complex situations<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simulator training is at the heart of training for surgeons and pilots alike. Advanced flight simulators enable pilots to train in a wide range of conditions, without any safety risk. Similarly, surgeons today train with high-fidelity simulators, training on 3D-printed specimens or OS, virtual and augmented reality environments, to master technical gestures without risk to the patient.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Safety culture and feedback<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aviation and surgery share a rigorous safety culture. After every flight, as after every operation, a thorough debriefing allows us to analyze decisions, identify areas for improvement, and reduce future errors. This approach enhances safety and ensures continuous learning.
